London 1872, and sporting editor to his decease; established Pardon’s Cricket and sporting reporting agency 1880; a cricketer; edited Wisden’s Cricketer’s Almanack, under name of Merlin 1887–90; master of the Gallery lodge 1886; an original member of London pre club and president Jany. 1890; wrote on cricket in Land and Water, the Evening News, and the Standard; with A.
