Abiogenesis

Spontaneous generation, creation or production of a living being from not-living matter. Supposed to have taken place when the first life appeared. As it has been shown never to take place now, it seems likely that, in a strict sense, it never did take place. The conclusion must be that life is as eternal as matter.
