Bandolon

[Sp.] ( Mus.) The name given, in Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries, to a stringed musical instrument, closely resembling the guitar. Ban'don, or BANDON-BRIDGE, a town of Ireland, co. Cork, 14 m. S.W. of Cork; pop . about 6,700.- It is situated on a river of the same name that the poet Spenser has celebrated as "The pleasant Bandon , crowned by many a wood." Bandore', n.
