(an’te-spaz-mod’ik). 1. Relieving spasm. 2. An agent that relieves spasm. Some of the chief antispasmodics are alcohol, ammonia, belladonna, camphor, castor, chloroform, conium, ether, musk, pota ium bromid, sumbul, and valerian.
