An a to ideæ (an a to idee)

Anatolian pottery, pottery made in Anatolia. The name is given by dealers and collectors to a pottery of soft paste with a white glaze, supposed to be from the factories of Kutahia or Kutayeh, in Asia Minor. The pieces are generally small; the decoration is in bright colors, similar to Damascus or Rhodian ware, but coarser, and the glaze is le adherent to the surface.
