[Greek pamphila, fem. of pam philos beloved of all.] Entomology : A genus of Butterflies, family Hesperiide. Pamphila comma is the Pearl-skipper (q. v.). P. sylvan us , the Large Skipper, and P. line a, the Small Skipper, frequent thickets and woods.
