NE. of Coruña, on a narrow inlet of the sea which forms a splendid harbourage, narrow at the entrance and capacious within, and defended by two forts; it po e es one of the largest Spanish naval arsenals; manufactures linen and cotton, and exports corn, brandy, and sardines.
