sarothamnus

[Gr. saros =a broom, and thamnos a bush, a shrub.] Bot.: A genus of Cytisee, founded to receive the Common Broom, Sarothamnus scoparius , formerly Cytisus scoparius . Sir J. Hooker reverts to the old name.
