Died at Honolulu, October Educated at Williams College and 13, 1890. physician. and Princeton Seminaries. He was ordained at Brimfiield, Ma ., in 1862, and was On pastor there and in Haver hill until 1876. May 31, 1877, he arrived at Honolulu. Soon after his arrival in the foreign field he took a prominent part in the mi ion work among the Hawaii ans, and as a preacher, a teacher, and an organizer his influence was felt. He reorganized the theological school at the North Pacific Mi ionary Institute, and until his death he was a leader, especially in educational matters, on this important field.
