Eccles., a bull i ued by a pope between the time of his election and that of his coronation. A semi-bull has an impre ion on only one side of the seal. After the consecration the name of the pope and the date are stamped on the reverse, thus constituting a double bull. semi-cadence (sem-i-kā'dens), n. In music, same closure. Ferrier's experiments on monkeys... had the effect of "torsion of the lip and semi closure of the nostril." Pop. Sci. Mo., XXXVII. 519.
