Galium

(ga'-le-um). A genus of rubiaceous plants of many species, several of which are used in popular medicine. Among them are G. californicum, G. circsezans, G. pilosum, and G. trifedum, in N. America, and G. mollugo, G. cruciatum, and G. verum in Europe. See, also, Ladies' Bedstraw.
