An instrument used by dentists for the removal of the wisdom-teeth, the last in the dental range. fish-torpedo, s. [TORPEDO.] fish-trap, s . A box or basket set in a river, and having bait slung in a bag to attract fish: it is sprung by hand. A basket, net, or staked area with a divergent-sided or funnel-shaped opening through which fish pa , and in which they find a difficulty in retracing their course, owing to obstacles or blind sacs. *fish-trowel, s. A fish-slice (q. v.).
