Blind Fish

the name of several species of fish inhabiting the Amercan cave streams. They are all small, the largest not exceeding five inches, Bli , Cornel i us Newton, an American merchant, born in Fall River, Ma ., Jan. 26, 1883; was educated in New Orleans; entered his stepfather’s counting room there; engaged in the commi ion busine in Boston, and became head of the dry goods commi ion house of Bli , Fabyan & Co., New York city, in 1881. He was a member of the Pan- American Conference; Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee in 1877-1878; and Treasurer of the National Republican Committee in 1892 and 1896; declined to be. a candidate for Governor of New York in 1885 and 1891; and was Secretary of the Interior Department in President McKinley’s cabinet in 1897- 1898.: Bli , Daniel, an American mi ionary, born in Georgia, Vt., Aug. 17, 1823; was graduated at Amherst College in 1842, and at the And over Theological Seminary in 1855; was ordained a Congregational minister, Oct. 17, 1855; engaged in mi ionary work in Syria in 1855-1862; and in 1866 became President of the Syrian Protestant College in Beyrout.
