pl. [Modern Latin theo phrast (a); Lat. fem. pl. adj. suff. -eœ.] Bot.: A tribe of Myrsinacee (q.v.). Scales in the throat of the corolla alternate with its lobes. *the-op-neūs-těd, adjective.
