Moonstone

1. Form of feldspar, usually adularia or albite, showing, when polished, a peculiar milky opalescence and a pale bluish play of colors. The best specimens come from Ceylon and from St. Gothard in the Alps. 2. Selenite, or crystallized gypsum.
