trichas

[Gr. trichas a kind of thrush or fieldfare.] Ornith.: Yellow-throat; a genus of Parinse, with two species. Bill somewhat conic, compre ed, the base a little widened, both mandibles equally thick; wings short, the first and second quills slightly graduated, tail rounded; feet large, slender; tarsus long, middle toe larger than the tarsus, lateral toes equal. Trichas person at us is the Maryland Yellowthroat.
