Thallasoaëtus (Kaup, 1845), later Thalla saëtus (Kaup, 1845), Thala aëtus (Kaup, 1847), Thala iaëtus (Reichenbach, 1850), IMG:content-0183.jpg:[ocr errors][merged small][merged small][merged small] We read of Minos, the legendary Cretan ruler, with his thala ocracy, and we think chiefly of war, not of commerce-yet the power of Minos would have been of little moment unle to protect commerce.
