PROPRIETOR

This term 1s almost synonymous with "owner," (q. 11.J as in the phrase "riparian proprietor." A person entitled to a trade-mark or a design under the acts for the registration or patenting ot p trade-marks and designs (q. v.) is called "proprietor" of the trade-mark or design. Sweet.
