[Pref. oxy- (1), and Gr. daktylos a finger.] Zool .: A group of the Batrachian sub-order Phan eroglo a (q. v.). It includes the families Ranide, Pelobatide, Bufonide, Engystomide, Rhinophrynide, and Rhino derma tidæ.
