is a serious discase of the eye, in which there is an accumulation of fluid within the eye-ball, the pre ure of which produces blindne . It may have & gradual or an acute onset. In the acute form the carlicr symptoms of headache and vomiting often cause it to be mistaken for a bilious attack at first. Medical aid is of the utmost importance. [s. 370]
