[Fr. allongé = lengthened; pa. par. of all on ger = to lengthen, to extend, as the arm; hence to thrust.] 1. In Fencing: A pa or thrust with a rapier, so called from the lengthening or extending of the fencer's arm in delivering the blow. 2. Horsemanship: A long rein used when a horse is trotted in the hand. 3.
