The species are few, and consist of shore-fishes of tropical seas. pěm-phi-gus, s. [Gr. pemphix (gen it. pemphi gos) =something filled with air.] Pathol.: A vesicular eruption. [BULLA.] pěrm-phis, s. [ Gr.pemphis =a bubble.] Botany: A genus of Lythree. Pemphis acidula grows on the coasts of tropical Asia. It is used as a potherb.
