The;.ince to be analyzed is reduced to the finest powder, dried, and weighed; then mixed with soda-lime. It is then placed in a combustion -tube, loosely plugged with asbestos, and heated. The nitrogen is converted into ammonia, which is absorbed by hydrochloric acid contained in a bulb connected with the tube. This is Vasculomotor. Acting as a vasomotor upon the capillaries.
