(1742-1807), chief of the Mohawk Indians, served in the British army during the Revolutionary War. He was active in the ma acre at Cherry Valley and at Minisink in 1779. He led a tribe in St. Leger’s expedition against Fort Stanwix in 1779. After the war. he aided the U. S. government in negotiating Indian treaties.
