to, n. One of the 5 members which form the ex- tremity of the foot; the fore part of the hoof of a horse, and of other hoofed animals; the member of a beast's foot corresponding to the toe in man. (Steam Eng.) An arm arranged to raise a lifting rod. —v. [toed (tod), toeing.] To touch or reach with the toes; to come fully up to. [AS., Ic, and Sw. ta, OHG. zeha, toe, finger; digit.] Toffy. Same as Taffy.
