Here is a Ruskin memorial. 586 FRIBOURG _FRIBOURG, or FREIBURG (frébor, fri’burh), a canton of Switzerland, surrounded by the cantons of Berne and Vaud, except a narrow part, which touches the Lake of Neufchatel. The southern part is mountainous, the northern part more level. The whole canton abounds in excellent pasturage, and cattle-breeding and dairy husbandry are the chief occupations of the inhabitants.
