Chænopsis (kenopsis)

[NL. (Gill, 1865), irreg. ult. E. cher vil), 907 chæta (ke'tä), n.; pl. chatæ (-tē). [NL., Same as Chatites. in composition. Chætetes (ket'ē-tēz), n. Chætetida (ke-tet'i-dē), n. pl. Same as Chati tidæ. Chætifera (kē-tif'e-rä), n. pl. [NL., neut. pl. of chætiferus: see chœtiferous, and cf. Chœto Chætophora Cha to don tid a: so named from the slender bristle-like character of the teeth, which are closely crowded together. To it have been referred at times not only all the Chœtodontidæ, but some other forms little related to it. By most late writers it is restricted to such species as C. capi stratus and C. lunula.
