(named after J. Bowie, a botanical collector for the Royal Gardens, Kew). ORD. Liliaceæ. A very interesting greenhouse or half-hardy twining bulbous perennial, thriving in a sunny border, under the wall of a greenhouse, where it will require protection during winter.
