[Native name.] A timber tree, Caryocar butyrosum, of the natural order Ternstræmiaceæ, of Guiana, miaceæ, of Guiana, which produces nuts that resemble souari-nuts, but are more oily. Pekin duck. [Named from Peking, in China.] A favorite variety of the domestic duck, of large size, solid creamy-white plumage, and orange beak and legs. Peking Peking lacquer. See lacquer. pekket, v.
