The outermost one of the three cuneiform or wedge-shaped bones of the distal row of tarsal bones; the ectocuneiform or ectosphenoid bone of the foot. See cut under foot . ectocuneiforme (ek-to-ku ne-i-fôr'mē), n.; pl. ectocuneiformia (-mi-ä). [NL., ἐκτός , without, + NL. cunei for me, the cuneiform bone.] Same as ectocuneiform .
