According to Government reports, the aggregate production of anthracite and bituminous coal in the United States amounted in 1900 to 240,- 965,917 long tons (or 269,881,827 short tons), with a value of $306,- 891,364. tae —. In 1903 the supply of coffee so far exceeded the demand that the Brazilian authorities ordered the destruction of part of the product..
