renitence, renitency

[Lat. renitens, pr. par. of renitor to struggle against: re -again, and nit or to struggle.] 1. The resistance of solid bodies when they pre upon or are impelled one against another; the resistance of a body to pre ure. 2. Moral resistance; disinclination, reluctance.
