Pericrocotus (per"ikrokotus)

(Boie, 1826), 20 species, of brilliant or varied plumage, chiefly black and scarlet or yellow, inhabiting India, China, the Malay ng per i ependymal Gasteromycetes it is also called the uterus, and may be differentiated into an outer peridium, which opens in various ways, and an inner peridium (peridiolum), which directly incloses the gleba.
