of little breadth; not wide or broad; very limited; straitened; covetous; contracted; not liberal; near; close; scrutinizing; barely sufficient to avoid evil: v.a. to le en the breadth of;to contract in extent; todraw into a smaller compa ;to confine to take: ground v.n. to become enough, le said broad of a horse: to contract; s. a narrow not or contracted pa age; a strait.
