[Modern Latin, dim in. from Lat. renes the kidneys (?).] Zool .: The typical genus of Renillidæ (q. v.). rě-nil-li-dæ, s. pl . [Mod. Lat. renill (a); Lat. fem. pl. adj. suff. -idæ .] Zool .: A family of Alcyonaria. The body is ren i form, without a solid axis, and the zooïds are on one side of the single pinnule.
