aroma to us (aromatus)

[ Aromochelyina (ar-ō-moke-li-i'nä), n. pl. [NL., Aromochelys + -ina.] A subfamily of turtles (the (the stinkpots), typified by the genus Aromochelys, referred by by Gray to his family Che lydralde. They have a cruciform plastron on of 11 shields, of which the gular pair is united and linear. A. odorata is the common stinkpot of the United States.
