(mi-se-to’mah) [Gr. μύκης fungus + -wne tumor]. A tumor caused by a fungus, especially fungus-foot or Madura foot, a disease endemic in India, and marked by increased swelling of the foot, in which nodules and vesicles develop. The parts become filled with sinuses, which discharge pus and penetrate into the bone.
