Charles Warren, Senator from Indiana since 1897; was born on a farm in Union Co., Ohio, May 11, 1852. He graduated at Ohio Wesley an University in 1872; became a lawyer at Indianapolis; in 1892 was chairman of the Republican State. Convention; and in 1897 was elected to the Senate. On June 23, 1904, he was unanimously nominated Republican candidate for Vice-President, and } elected by an overwhelming majority with Theodore Roosevelt. | Fair banks, Henry, an American inventor; born in St. Johns bury, Vt., May 6, 18380; graduated at Dart. moutk College, and at And over Theological Seminary.
