[L. ante pagmentum, also antipagmentum, anything applied for ornament, antepagmentum (antē-pag-men'tum), n.; pl. antepagmenta (-tä). Same as antepagment. ante paschal (an-te-pas'kal), a. [ The dispute was very early in the church concerning the observation of Easter; one point whereof was, concerning the ending of the ante paschal fast. R. Nelson, Festivals and Fasts, p. 445.
