[Sp. adarme, a dram; a- perhaps represents the Ar. art. al, the, and -darme the L. drachma: see drachma and dram.] A Spanish weight, a drachm, the 16th part of an ounce, or the 256th part of a pound, equal (in Castile) to 1 avoirdupois drachms.
