A man employed in the manufacture of charcoal. charcoal-drawing (chär'kōl-draving), n. 1. A picture or drawing executed with crayons of charcoal.-2. The art of producing drawings with charcoal. This art of charcoal- drawing , which now occupies a very high position in the opinion of artists as an independent means of expre ion, is a most curious example of what may be called promotion amongst the graphic arts.
