[English, ., manihot; -ic.] Contained in or derived from manihot (q. v.). manihotic-acid, s. Chem.: An acid said to have been obtained from the root of the Jatropha manihot. It crystallizes in prisms, having an acid taste, and forms neutral salts with lime, baryta, and magnesia. măn-1-kin, măn-a-kin, *măn'-ni-kin, s. [0. A manikin in illustration of obstetric subjects has an elastic perineum, uterus, and fætal head, so that the artificial parts may simulate the natural action of parturition.
