A debt recorded in an account. A debit entry in an account is an unfavorable entry; it is the reverse of a credit entry. i * _ - ¢ Debit note. A commercial term; a memorandum or account of goods sent back to the consignor by the consignee and debited by the consignee to the consignor. 158
