battologize

t. [Gr. βαττολογίω (battologeō) (Matt. vi. 7, Gr. Test.) = to stammer, to repeat the same syllable, word, clause, or sentence over and over again: βάττος ( battos ) = a stammerer, λόγος ( logos ) = discourse, and Eng. suff. -ize = to make.] To repeat the same word or idea with unnece ary frequency.
