A fish of trumpet-fish (trumpet-fish), n. the family Centriscidæ, as Centriscus scolopах; a bellows-fish or sea-snipe: so called from the long tubular snout. See cut under snipe-fish. -2. A fish of the family Fistulariidæ; a tobacco-pipe fish.
