nerve twig (nervtwig)

One of the small or ultimate ramifications of a nerve; a little nerve given off from a larger branch. nerve-wave (nėrv'wāv), n. Wave-motion in a nerve, transmitting nerve-commotion in a manner analogous to the progre of a water wave. Compare brain - wave.
