Glasgow

University was founded by Pope Nicholas V. in 1450 and was remodelled by the Acts of 1858 and 1889. It has about 1900 students, about 250 of whom are women. It has the most complete accommodation in the world for female medical students, under Mr. T. H. Bryce, the anatomist.
