[NL., Mio of artiodactyl ungulate mammals established by Von Meyer upon remains discovered cene of Europe. The position of the genus is questionable. Owen considered it related to the chevrotains ( Tra gulida). It probably belongs to the anoplotherioid series. It is also called Amphimeryx.
