Scorpion

[L.] An arachnidan somewhat like a lobster, having a poisonous sting in its tail. It has a flattened body, and a long, slender lower abdo¬ men, formed of six movable segments, the last of which ends in its sting. Its poison causes pain, but is seldom destructive of life. Scorpions are found in warm climates.
