Ornith.: Melopsittacus undulatus , an Australian species, easily distinguished by its breast of lovely green, and back delicately banded with black and yellow. It differs e entially from all other parrots in warbling a low, continuous, and not unlively melody, something like the English Whitethroat. It breeds in confinement very readily, if properly treated. Called also Undulated and Waved Gra Parrakeet.
